Hello, there, lovely readers.
After 7 months, I’ve decided to grant you a one-time pass into the incredibly cheesy, embarrassingly flimsy and one big simp of a mind of Full-Fat.
Here’s a poem for you:
(Internally screams with fear of exposure).
I’m kidding, I can do this, (this feels like sending a risky text).
Here you go:
Amidst a bustling crowd we meet,
A moment suspended, bittersweet,
Fate’s mischievous hand brings you near,
Our past collides, emotions sear.
In the midst of faces, a familiar sight,
Eyes locked… in an unexpected light,
A veil of memories unfurls,
Where love and longing intertwine, it swirls.
The air crackles with untold stories,
Whispers of promises, faded glories,
In a fleeting gaze, a universe unfolds,
A tale of “accidental” love, once untold.
The echoes of laughter, like distant chimes,
Resurface amidst the passing times,
The touch of your presence, a gentle flame,
Ignites meaning in a forgotten name.
I stand there, with shaking limbs,
In a tale of fairies, our past stings,
Navigating the sea of strangers’ faces,
Caught between hunger and empty spaces,
A weep in heartbeats, a silent plea,
To unravel the secrets of you and me.
As the crowd moves on its way,
We part with images we cannot play,
A nod, a smile, a knowing glance,
A goodbye… wrapped in a fleeting chance.
Holding dear a new memory at last…
Our paths once again diverge,
Leaving me to wonder…
Will this “imprint” forever surge?
And so we drift, on separate tides,
Carrying the words that echo-ingly reside.
Thank you,
Goodbye,
FFB
